The UIS collects the data for more than 200 countries from Member States and international organizations.

The U.N. web site has selected full-text United Nations official records and documents from the General Assembly, Security Council, Economic and Social Council, Secretariat, International Court of Justice, and Trusteeship Council.

This site catalogs and provides access to maps and graphics that have been prepared for UNEP publications and web-sites from the last 15 years on a wide range of themes related to environment and sustainable development. Maps and graphics are free for viewing and downloading. As of June 20, 2006, there were currently 752 graphics available in the database.

The United Nations Official Document System comprises the full text of all United Nations parliamentary documents, including resolutions and decisions issued at United Nations Headquarters in New York and the United Nations Office at Geneva since 1993 (with selected earlier coverage), and at the United Nations Office at Vienna since 1997, as well as documents from the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific beginning in 1997. In addition to parliamentary documentation, all currently valid United Nations administrative issuances (ST/AI/-, ST/IC/- and ST/SGB/-) are included in the database.

The United Nations Treaty Collection includes the Status of Multilateral Treaties Deposited with the Secretary-General, United Nations Treaty Series, the League of Nations Treaty Series, Texts of Recently Deposited Multilateral Treaties, and the United Nations Treaty Series Cumulative Index.

The Secretary-General of the United Nations is the depositary of more than 560 multilateral treaties which cover a broad range of subject matters such as human rights, disarmament and protection of the environment.

The UN Treaty Collection also provides access to the League of Nations Treaty Series.
