Access Services Night and Weekend Assistant (BML, 100% FTE)

Under general supervision, responsible for overseeing Access Services related functions; interpreting and enforcing unit, department, and library policy/procedure; opening and/or closing building; overall building and collection security; oversees Public Service Desk; may schedule, train and supervise student assistants. Represent the University Library to patrons on evenings, weekends and holidays.

Access Services is responsible for providing access to and maintaining in good physical order the University Library’s general collections. The unit provides access to material not owned by a patron’s home library via Inter-library Loan or Document Delivery Services.

This 100% FTE Night & Weekend Assistant position works primarily at Blaisdell Medical Library in Sacramento. This position may be required to work at any of the University Library facilities as needed. Description of the primary location will vary depending upon whichever facility is the primary location of work.
