Development Analyst

Under direction of the Senior Director of Development, responsible for supporting the Development program, and helping to build a greater base of donors and prospects to support the Library’s highest priorities.

Conduct research on prospective donors, peer institution development and communications, activities, and in other areas as appropriate. Implement and maintain internal systems for monitoring Library top donor prospect strategies for cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. Perform qualification and other program analyses. Maintain the Library donor thank you letters protocol and Library mailing list. Manage Gift processing. Assist with annual endowment stewardship reports. Help prepare materials for the Library Advisory Board meetings and create the minutes from the meetings. Prepare donor visit itineraries and support (parking, hospitality) and staff donor-related Library events such as the Savor lecture series, Lang Prize, Picnic Day, Give Day, Aggies Helping Aggies, etc. Experience with coordinating and providing support for meetings, events and visiting dignitaries.

Assure that Fundraising activities are conducted in accordance with Office of Development policies, practices and standards.

Must comply with UC Davis Development policies and utilize the services and systems of the UC Davis Development Prospect Management System (PMATS) and AIS database.
Generate high level written and visual materials, coordinate meetings or event logistics with donors and prospects coming to campus and external constituencies.

Implement projects designed to inform external constituencies of Library priorities, services, and news. Provide front-line customer service to Library donors, alumni, and others to address questions and build positive relationships on behalf of the Library.

Work with a high level of confidentiality, autonomy and exercise independent judgment on project management with multiple tasks to create solutions that impact organizational productivity.

Provide administrative support to the Senior Director of Development. Work as a team player in collaboration with Library and UC Davis partners.

Oversee student employees, including training, tracking project progress, and scheduling.
