Library Assistant III (.50FTE), Access Services Night & Weekend Assistant

Under general supervision, incumbent is responsible for overseeing Access Services related functions; interpreting and enforcing unit, department, and library policy/procedure; opening and/or closing building; overall building and collection security; oversees Public Service Desk; may schedule, train and supervise student assistants. Position is responsible for representing the University Library to patrons on evenings, weekends and holidays.
Access Services is responsible for providing access to and maintaining in good physical order the University Library’s general collections. The unit provides access to material not owned by a patron’s home library via Interlibrary Loan or Document Delivery Services.
The primary work location will be at either Shields (2) or Physical Science and Engineering (1)
