VDI/Web Support Technician

Under direction of the Workstation Support Manager, provide 1st and 2nd tier technical support for UCD Library staff and patrons. Provide technical support for Windows and Macintosh OS computer systems, including applications software and operating systems. Use the library ticketing system to log requests and generate reports. Perform help desk operations and routine computer and peripheral maintenance issues as needed.

Assist with management of the library VDI environment and deployment/management of the BigFix Tivoli security application. Provide web content management for library websites using a Content Management Systems (CMS) such as WordPress. Assist staff, faculty, and students with day-to-day operations, including computer configurations, system updates, system deployment, license tracking, active directory user management and group policy management (GPO).
