More 24-hour Study Space at Shields for 2017 Fall Finals

The UC Davis Library will be opening up new sections of the Peter J. Shields Library for 24 hours for several days during the 2017 Fall final exam week.

Library staff will open a contained and securable part of Shields – namely, the Sally Porter, Main Reading, and Nelle Branch rooms – for 24 hours a day from Sunday, Dec. 10 to Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2017.

These rooms, which complement the existing 24-Hour Study Room, will be patrolled by security for student safety. Entrance to the additional space will be through the 24-hour Study Room entrance located on the north side of Shields, directly across from the Quad. The space will be available to registered students only. Students must have their Aggie card to enter.

This new service is being done on a trial basis and library staff will be evaluating whether to continue the program.

 Fuel for Finals at Shields

Specifically, services will be available:

Dec. 8 to 10 from 5 to 10 p.m.

Dec. 11 to 14 from 7 p.m. – 12 a.m.
