Reduced Library Hours Through March 29

In alignment with campus guidance to maximize social distancing over the next two weeks, the UC Davis Library will be open for reduced hours over the next two weeks.

  • Shields Library and Carlson Health Sciences Library will be closed this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, March 14 and 15.
  • Shields After Dark, our usual extended hours during final exams, has been canceled for this quarter.
  • The 24-Hour Study Room, which is accessible from the Quad side of Shields Library, remains open to students using your AggieCard.
  • Blaisdell Medical Library has reduced its staffed hours, but remains accessible 24/7 to members of the UC Davis Health community with badge access.

Please refer to our Library Hours page for the most current daily hours for all locations.

For those who do come to the library to study or work, the UC Davis Library strongly encourages our students and other patrons to keep in mind social distancing best practices (public health officials recommend six feet between people) when choosing where to sit and study.
