Time to Renew Your NY Times Access
Update: As part of ongoing campuswide budget reductions to address UC Davis’ structural budget deficit, the UC Davis Library has reduced annual spending on collections and online resources. NYTimes.com access will be discontinued effective July 1, 2026. View other ways to access The New York Times online.
Last summer we proudly announced that the UC Davis Library now offers all members of our campus community free online access to The New York Times.
Our campus-wide license continues, but if you are faculty or staff, you need to re-authenticate yearly to maintain access — so if you signed up last summer, it may be time to renew! (Access for students is valid through their graduation year.)
How to renew: Visit NYTimes.com/GroupPass and log into your account while connected to the UC Davis network (if you’re off-campus, use the library’s VPN).
How to subscribe: To set up your NYTimes account for the first time, follow these instructions.
