COVID-19 Update

Public computers: Most public computers have been removed from service.

Scanning: The multi-function devices that allow you to scan, copy, and print have also been removed from service. If you would like something scanned, please submit a Document Delivery request. Most requests are filled in 1-2 business days. Alternatively, most smart devices have cameras suitable for scanning.

Printing: If you need to print a document, the IET Computer Lab located in Shields Library has stationed printers outside of the lab for wireless printing.

The library provides numerous ways to access to digital collections, in addition to providing workstations for users to study, research, and perform coursework.

The Library provides workstations at all its locations. Public workstations may be used by all library users and do not require special login information.  Campus workstations require users to authenticate themselves via their UC Davis computing account information.

The campus wireless network supports most wireless devices (802.11 a/b/g/n) and is available to all UC Davis computing account holders, Eduroam account holders and guests of the campus. In some cases, you may have to set up your wireless device for wireless access through Campus IT.

Wireless service is provided by IET, not the UC Davis Library. For assistance with problems in configuring your laptop, registering or logging on to the campus network, please contact IT Express at 754-HELP or ithelp@ucdavis.edu. For more information, see the UC Davis IT Service Hub.

An IET computer lab is located inside Shields Library in Room 182.  Hours and availability of this lab and others can be found online.
