The UC Davis Library is more than just books! Various tools and study aids are available for check out. Lockers and faculty carrels for long-term storage, individual charging lockers and battery packs, whiteboards and markers, headphones, calculators, power squids, and subject specific equipment (ex., atomic structure kits) are only a few of the unique materials offered.
Users may safely store belongings in lockers provided provided at the Carlson Health Sciences Library. CHSL lockers may be borrowed for the quarter in-person at the CHSL Circulation Desk. Renewals are allowed up to a maximum loan period of one year, depending upon demand.
Shields Library has 28 faculty study carrels that are available to members of the Academic Senate, Academic Federation research titles, and Emeriti faculty; add your name to the wait list. Faculty carrels are assigned for library-centered projects requiring use and storage for significant amounts of library material. Faculty carrels are not intended for use as study or office space.
Secure charging lockers are available at Shields Library in the alcove adjacent to the Circulation Desk. Pick a locker, plug in your laptop or other device, then pick and set your unique locker combo. These lockers are available first come, first served and are not intended for overnight use. Items that are left in these charging lockers overnight may be forwarded to the UC Davis Police Department lost and found.
