Microform reading machines are available at multiple library locations. These machines are available on a first-come, first-served basis with a 2 hour time limit while others are waiting. Assisted scanning can be arranged at each building’s circulation desk.

Shields Library has two microform devices located on the lower level of the library in the Microforms Reading Room. These machines will read microfilm, microfiche, and microcard formats. Included is a scanning workstations that allows users to create PDFs. Users may place a reservation for the microform reader up to two weeks in advance for large projects.

The Physical Sciences and Engineering Library has one microform reader, available on a first come, first served basis. Located on the first floor of the library, this machine will read microfilm and microfiche formats only. Printing is unavailable from this machine.
